Hair history:
Natural hair colour is a level 4 and client is 75% grey hair
Desired result:
To blend the grey hair with blonde pieces, allowing for a soft natural grow out. Previous balayage 5 months ago. Wants an ash gold tone, not too cold and not too warm but still bright.
Method:
Ultra fine babylights on t-section (around hairline and main parting) with Redken Flashlift with bonder inside bleach powder and 20vol developer
Alternating weaved and Airtouch sections and blending high without touching the roots with Redken Flashlift with bonder inside bleach powder and 20vol developer finishing with 25vol (mixing 20vol & 30vol 1:1)
Not overlapping onto previous balayage
Lifted to a level 9 (yellow)
Cleansed & conditioned with Redken Acidic bonding concentrate shampoo & Conditioner
Toned
Treated with Redken Acidic Concentrate Intensive Treatment
Formula:
Toned with Redken Shades Eq Gloss with bonder inside
09AG
This new toner has just enough blue to neutralise any extra warmth and just the right amount of mauve to not leave you with a khaki colour.
Finishing tools & products:
Heat protector: Redken acidic bonding concentrate leave-in conditioner
Blowdryer: GHD Helios
Steampod: 3.0
